Wolfgang Pell is managing director of VERBUND Solutions GmbH – a VERBUND subsidiary focusing on innovation and new business. Wolfgang has 30 years of management experience in the energy and engineering industry.

From 2009 to 2014 he was Chief Research Officer of VERBUND, leading the Competence Center Innovation. In addition, Wolfgang headed the Austrian Mobile Power platform for E-Mobility during its start-up phase from 2009 to 2012. Before his time at VERBUND, Wolfgang was the CFO of Siemens Romania from 2003 to 2008, managing director of the Austrian Research Centers (now Austrian Institute of Technology) from 1997 – 2003, and owned a number of management positions in the industry.

Wolfgang holds a Magister Degree (“MBA”) in Commercial Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and a Diplom-Ingenieur Degree (“MSc”) Computer Sciences from Vienna University of Technology.
