After his studies in the field of “project management and IT”, Reinhard Birke started his professional career at Raiffeisen Central Bank. Followed by more than five years within the Accenture “Travel and Transportation” practice, leading multiple transnational IT transformation projects as accountable manager in the airline industry. Beginning in 2013 Reinhard Birke started in his new role as a program manager within Vienna Utility Services responsible for the e-mobility flagship project SMILE. In the next years he was responsible for several large scale projects regarding multimodal travel and transportation platforms in public interest. Since the spin-off in the year 2016 Reinhard Birke is CEO of “Upstream – next level mobility” and responsible for the implementation and operation of a multimodal mobility platform to aggregate all types of mobility and distribute the access via one centralized interface. “Upstream – next level mobility” operates in several European countries and serves over more than 40 different clients with more than 50 people. Upstream’s recent success allowed to further expand its business model into data analytics in public interest.
